The housing and care home sector is at the forefront of the UK’s response to the coronavirus, supporting some of the most vulnerable older people in extraordinarily difficult times.

Whether it be dealing with shortages of PPE, protecting staff health and wellbeing, helping residents to keep connected with their families and friends, or finding new ways of supporting people with dementia, many providers have found ways of rising to the challenge.

This webinar, supported by the ILC Partners Programme, provided practical advice to organisations wanting to learn about how different organisations providing care and housing services for older and vulnerable people are responding. The webinar highlighted good practice and explored what additional support is needed from government over the short term.

Through this webinar we explored what happens next. How will COVID-19 impact on the future of care homes and care policy for older people for example.
