Time to Innovate for Ageing – Launch reception

Jan 16, 2018 | EVENT

This reception will celebrate the launch of a new, year-long programme (Innovating for Ageing) which seeks to identify and support the creation of new products and services to help improve the lives of vulnerable consumers. The best innovations will be recognised later in 2018 at an ILC-UK Awards ceremony.

The event will provide an opportunity for you to learn more about the project as well as to consider how you can be involved.

The International Longevity Centre – UK (ILC-UK), with the support of Just Group, will bring together experts, innovators and groups who work to support vulnerable consumers.

Our ageing society is a driver for growing numbers of vulnerable consumers. More older people means, for example, more people with dementia, more people with sight and hearing loss and more people with multiple long term chronic health conditions.

At the same time, our world is becoming more complex and individuals are being asked to take ever-more risk themselves.

Through this project we hope to inspire a generation of start-ups and social enterprises to develop new products and services to support this important consumer group.

We hope you are able to join us on 16th January. If you have any questions about the event, please contact events@ilcuk.org.uk.

This event is kindly being hosted by the Innovation Warehouse. The Innovation Warehouse has been a cornerstone of London’s technology start-up scene since 2010.  As London’s AgeTech Hub, a specialty team of mentors and investors are supporting start-ups focused on ageing populations. They will soon be launching the Innovation Warehouse AgeTech Investment Fund.
