The inaugural Greengross lecture: A world without ageism
Date: Thursday 15 June 2023
Time: 6.00pm – 7.00pm (BST)
Location: ILC YouTube channel
As many of you know, Baroness Sally Greengross OBE founded the ILC-UK in 1997. Sally’s death last summer has left an enormous hole, but an important and lasting legacy.
In celebration of her achievements over the last 25 years, the ILC would like to invite you to join us virtually for the inaugural Greengross lecture on the future of ageing to be delivered by Ashton Applewhite, the author of This Chair Rocks: A Manifesto Against Ageism.
Sally had immense respect for Ashton and delighted in her company. Together they went on a lecture tour across Australia in 2019 and were good friends.
An internationally recognised expert on ageism, Ashton Applewhite speaks widely at venues including the United Nations, and the TED mainstage, and is at the forefront of the emerging movement to raise awareness of ageism and dismantle it.
Subscribe to our YouTube channel and click here to join us at the first Greengross lecture, at 6.00pm on Thursday 15 June.
The Greengross lecture on the future of ageing is generously supported by AARP, Audley Group, LV=, Phoenix Group, and Hallmark Foundation.
