Join us for ILC’s upcoming event set in the Unclaimed exhibition at the Barbican on Wednesday, 1 May 2019, 3.30pm (for a 4pm start) – 6pm. We are grateful to The Liminal Space for their assistance with arranging this event. The event has been made possible with support from members of the ILC Partners Programme.

With one in three people now set to live to 100, our ageing population has major implications for individuals and society. Yet in our youth-obsessed culture ageing is still a topic we find very difficult to discuss. And rarely ask the question: what will it be like for me?

Commissioned by the Barbican and Wellcome Trust and led by The Liminal Space, Unclaimed engages a broad public audience to think more deeply and imaginatively about their own ageing and the experiences of older people within society.

At the event, we will hear from Dr Daniel Davis (UCL gerontologist who worked on the Unclaimed project), and Amanda Gore, (co-Director of the Liminal Space), followed by a short drinks reception in the Barbican Martini Bar.

As this exhibition is due to close on Friday 3 May, we hope you will be able to take advantage of this unique opportunity and join us on the 1 May.
