On Thursday, 22 March at the ILC-UK offices we had a discussion on global ageing, led by Alexandre Kalache of ILC-Brazil.

Alex is one of the world’s leading experts on ageing. Prior to his current role, heading up ILC Brazil, Alex directed the WHO Global Ageing Programme. Alex is the Co-President of the ILC Global Alliance and has been named one of 100 most-influential Brazilians.

This discussion gave us an opportunity to hear from Alex as well as discuss some of the most pressing issues which need to be addressed by policymakers and society as a whole.
