Join the ILC Europe Network on 1 July for its second annual conference exploring the challenges and opportunities of demographic change in Europe. This year’s theme is “Addressing the age gap: how do we create a Europe that’s fit for the future?”
At this event, we will be exploring how Europe is performing on the Healthy Ageing and Prevention Index, looking at the Index’s six metrics across three sessions:
- Closing the gap: How can European countries increase healthy life expectancy and improve their longevity?
- Wealthy ageing: Are Europeans working, earning and spending as much as they want?
- A place of belonging: Why do happiness and environmental performance matter for communities?
Confirmed speakers for this year’s conference include:
- Glenn Micallef, European Commission Vice-President, Intergenerational Fairness, Youth, Culture and Sport (video message)
- MEP Idoia Mendia, Member, European Parliament Committee on Employment and Social Affairs
